Arizona Golf Properties

Arizona Golf Properties
Like Florida, Arizona is very accommodating to golfers. The warmth during the winter makes this a hot spot for golfing vacations, although during the summer the heat can be very dangerous if you don't stay hydrated and push yourself too hard. Arizona caters to golfing interests with a number of highly regarded golf properties that take advantage of the scenic views of this state to create golf courses that are just as fun to walk as they are to play.

Gold Canyon Golf Resort

Gold Canyon is located near Phoenix in the community of Apache Junction. You will find two courses here, both of which are worthwhile. It is no secret, however, that Dinosaur Mountain is by far the more breathtaking course, taking full advantage of its desert setting. The Sidewinder course is better for those who prefer a more traditional day on the links or those who tend to be distracted by scenery. The Sidewinder course is also better for those looking to save a little money on fees.

Westin Paloma

This Tucson resort features a golf course designed by the Golden Bear himself, Jack Nicklaus. Golf Digest ranked this as one of the top 75 courses in the country and one of the top 10 in Arizona. In addition to a golf course framed by mountains in the distance, the Westin Paloma also has a pool guaranteed to refresh you after a day in the Arizona heat. You can also enjoy the recreation of tennis and racquetball. Pamper yourself with the full service amenities offered by the Elizabeth Arden Red Door spa.

The Phoenician

The Phoenician has been the recipient of honors for its lodging, its food and its 27-hole golf course. Located at the foot of Camelback Mountain, the Phoenician is sheer luxury in the desert where you sleep on Egyptian cotton sheets and rest your bare feet on Berber carpet. The Phoenician tees up three different courses. The Desert Course is perfect for those who enjoy changes in elevation. The Oasis Course combines tree-line fairways with expertly placed water hazards. The Canyon Course is located right on the slope of Camelback Mountain and affords delightful views of the Valley of the Sun.
