The Raven Golf Club at South Mountain
The Raven Golf Club at South Mountain was designed by Gary Panks and David Graham and opened in 1995. The par 72 facility, which plays at 7,000-plus yards from the back tees, is just a short drive from Phoenix's Sky Harbor International Airport. The course features a variety of exotic vegetation, including African sumac and Canary Island Pines. The fairways are rolling and surrounded by rugged desert terrain. The greens allow players to take aim, but well-guarded fairways and landing spots force precise tee shots and layups.
