Top 10 Golf Courses in Scottsdale
Scottsdale, Arizona, is a popular golf destination in the Sonoran Desert because of the number of public courses and golf resorts. The area has championship golf courses carved into the natural landscapes of deserts, mountains and green valleys. These courses provide varying fairways that dip down valleys and merge into flat land with cactus plants and palm trees.

TPC Stadium

This 18-hole, par-71 golf course is located at Fairmont Scottsdale Princess Resort, a AAA Five Diamond resort. The course features Sonoran Desert landscaping with varying elevations throughout the fairway. The course hosts the FBR Open, a PGA Tour event.

Faldo Course

This 18-hole, par-71 course at Wildfire Golf Club, sits on 174-acre site on the Phoenix/Scottsdale border amid the backdrop of mountains and cactus plants. This course is the creation of Nick Faldo, the winner of three Masters and three British opens.

New Monument Course

This course at Troon North Golf Club is a Tom Weiskopf design that features mountains and deserts. Weiskopf used the Troon, Scotland, course as a guide for creating this course. The course meanders through the foothills of the Sonoran desert and Pinnacle Peak.

This course at Troon North Golf Club is a Tom Weiskopf design that combines desert landscape with the British Open course as a guide. The course has a similar layout to Monument, the other course at the club.

Talking Stick Golf Club

The golf club has a north and south course, a total of 36 holes. The courses are designed according Scottish tradition with the desert landscape. You see wild horses and native wildlife on the outskirts of the course.

Sanctuary Golf Course at Westworld

This 18-hole, par-71 Scottsdale course is located on the western slope of McDowell Mountain, next to the Westworld equestrian center. The course, constructed by architect Randy Heckenkemper, is created as a habitat for native plants and wildlife as a Bureau of Reclamation's storm water retention area.

The Golf Club at Eagle Mountain

This 18-hole, par-71 golf course, which is on the Scottsdale/Fountain Hills border, is located the red and brown mountain slopes of desert mountain ranges. The course is designed to fit the contours of the rolling hills and desert valleys. They have two putting greens, a chipping area, driving ranges and practice bunkers.
