Playing golf in San Diego is a great opportunity for players who live in the city and those who are visiting. It's hard to find a community with a better year-round climate or one that offers more opportunities to have a great day outdoors. If you want to get in a late round, many of the top courses offer twilight rates that allow you to play late in the day at very reasonable rates.
Carlton Oaks Golf Course
Carlton Oaks Golf Course is a 7,255-yard Pete Dye-designed course that is beautiful but challenging. There are many trees and hazards throughout the course and you need to be long off the tee. There are three lakes and two streams. The fairways are tight but the greens are fair.

Riverwalk Golf Course
Located just minutes from downtown, Riverwalk is a course that is challenging for low-handicap golfers and high-handicappers alike. The fairways are undulating, so the golfer will have many shots from uneven lies. Architect Ted Robinson has built one of the most visually pleasing courses in the area that includes an eye-catching waterfall.
