St. Elmo Deli
Simply put, St. Elmo Deli is a great place to get a sandwich. This deli features quality food, a friendly atmosphere and great service. St. Elmo serves up plenty of standard favorites, such as turkey or ham sandwiches. However, the turkey, avocado, and cheese--or even a simple avocado and cheese sandwich--makes a fine lunch.

Balducci's
More of a food market than a deli per se, Balducci's offers up some of the best meats and cheeses in Bethesda. Its deli also serves some of the most mouth-watering sandwiches in the D.C. area, including the famed Italian hero, which blends Italian meats, cheeses, peppers, and spices into one savory sandwich. Cosi
Not exactly a home-grown favorite since it is a small chain, Cosi features some of the best sandwiches you'll ever find. Choices include flatbreads, melts, basic sandwiches and more. Try the Grilled Chicken TBM (tomato, basil, mozzarella), the Shrimp Remoulade Sandwich, or the Buffalo Blue (buffalo chicken and blue cheese), as these are the highlights of a quality menu.
