Pensacola Regional Airport
The Pensacola Regional Airport is the most likely landing strip if you plan on playing the courses along the Panhandle. Unlike the major airports in Florida, this is a much smaller airport that handles only a few airlines. In addition to Pensacola, the airport also serves those who plan to visit Florida cities to the east like Ft. Walton and Destin as well as Alabama cities to the west like Gulf Shores and Orange Beach. The closest golf course to the airport is Scenic Hills Country Club which definitely lives up to its name. The course was designed by former U.S. Open champ and Pensacola native Jerry Pate.
