List of Fun Places

List of Fun Places
Fun places helps drive the world economy. Leisure activities and vacations pump billions into the machinery of that economic motor, and fun is at the top of the list. Fortunately, when it comes to fun places, it seems as if there is something for everyone. As long as golf remains a universal pleasure for millions, your chances of having fun exponentially increase.

Solvang, Calfornia

If you have ever wanted to visit Denmark, but just can't get there, take a trip to Solvang. This little California village is a simulacrum of a generic Danish town that offers plenty of fun for all ages. From the architecture to the food, Solvang is about everything Danish. Attractions include the Hans Christian Anderson Museum, miniature horses at Quicksilver Ranch and plenty of opportunities for shopping and buying souvenirs. Solvang also has an excellent golf course: Alisal River Course.

St. Augustine, Florida

St. Augustine offers plenty of chances for fun whether you are a golfer, a history buff or a ghost hunter. Every professional golfer hopes to wind up in St Augustine memorialized forever as part of the World Golf Hall of Fame. Try taking a swig of the waters from the spring at the Fountain of Youth to see if it really works. Nobody should visit Florida without taking in an alligator farm; St. Augustine Alligator Farm is one of the oldest and best of these roadside traditions in the state. As night draws over the city, gather up the older kids, and enjoy one of the many ghost walk tours of this old world town.

Leeds Castle, England

A train ride from Victoria Station in London to Leeds Castle only takes about an hour, and it is well worth the trip. Begin the fun by taking the tour of this castle that once housed Henry V and Henry VIII. Then head over to the Dog Collar Museum, which houses accessories for the royal pooches that race back 400 years. Set aside 1:30 p.m. on weekends to take in the displays of falconry. See if you can get to the center of the enormous yew tree maze so that you can see the weird grotto for yourself. While at Leeds Castle, you might as well take advantage of the 9-hole par-33 golf course with a scenic view of the castle in the background.
