Guide to California Airports
California, with about 400 golf courses, is a popular golf destination. International airports in California serve travelers from North America and other regions from around the world. These airports are hubs for airlines and provide direct flights from cities across North America. Transportation services help you get to and from your accommodations.

Los Angeles International Airport

LAX provides direct flights to cities in North America, Latin America, Europe, Asia and the Middle East. Airlines that use this California airport include United Airlines, Alaska Airlines, American Airlines, Southwest Airlines and Virgin America. Located 16 miles from Downtown LA, LAX has various private transportation options to and from your accommodations.

Sacramento International Airport

This Northern California airport, located in the state's capital, is 12 miles from downtown Sacramento. This airport provides non-stop services to New York City, Washington, D.C., Atlanta, Dallas, Guadalajara, Honolulu, Las Vegas, Seattle, Phoenix, and major California cities. Southwest Airlines, Hawaiian Airlines, JetBlue Airways and Alaska Airlines use this airport. Seven car rental companies work out of the airport.

San Francisco International Airport

This airport is about 13 miles south of San Francisco, California. San Francisco provides flights to destinations within the United States, Europe, Asia and Australia. Major airlines that use this airport include United Airlines, Virgin America, Alaska Airlines, Air Canada, Japan Airlines, JetBlue Airways and Air New Zealand. Passenger services include shops, a travel agency and a medical clinic.

This California airport, known as Lindbergh Field is three miles northwest of central San Diego. The airport offers more than 40 non-stop destinations throughout the United States, including Phoenix, Honolulu, Atlanta, Las Vegas, Boston, Houston and Salt Lake City. Airlines using this airport include Southwest Airlines, AirTran Airways, JetBlue Airways, Frontier Airlines, Aeromexico, Air Canada and Alaska Airlines. They provide shuttle vans and public transportation.

Palm Springs International Airport

Visitors from more than 500 cities around the world come to Palm Springs, and the airport is located two miles from Palm Springs business district. Non-stop flights include Bellingham, Dallas/Fort Worth, Las Vegas, Minneapolis, Chicago, Portland, Phoenix, Alberta, Calgary and Vancouver. Transportation services include shuttles, taxis, limousines, and buses and trains.
