List of Airlines Departing Miami
Miami International Airport (FAA code: MIA), the nation's 15th-busiest facility in 2008 according to the FAA, welcomes 13 domestic airlines and 31 foreign carriers to its runways.
Led by American Airlines, which provided more passengers to MIA than all other domestic fleets combined, the complex served 34.1 million total travelers in the most recent fiscal year, according to Miami-Dade Aviation Department reports.
The airport is eight miles northwest of downtown Miami and is a pleasant drive from two of GolfLink's Top 100 Courses: The Links at Madison Greene, ranked 76th and located in Royal Palm Beach, 74 miles away; and the 86th-ranked PGA Golf Club at PGA Village in Port St. Lucie, 114 miles away.
The airport employs more than 35,000 people and has more than seven miles of runways.

American Airlines

MIA is one of American's hubs, and the Texas-based carrier accounted for more than two-thirds of all domestic traffic at the facility. On average, a domestic American flight leaves MIA every 13 minutes, according to 2008 data. American Eagle, the short-distance subsidiary of the larger airline, goes into Miami as well.
American offers nonstop service to 41 U.S. destinations.
