List of California Hot Springs

List of California Hot Springs
With over 300 hot springs located in the state, California is second only to Nevada when it comes to the amount of natural hot springs. Hot springs can be both found in area parks, or they can become parks themselves, with some of the finest hot springs in California serving as resorts where you can relax in the relative comfort of a pool-type setting.

Desert Hot Springs

Located just 10 miles to the North of Palm Springs, Desert Hot Springs is a resort community that draws visitors from around the world to relax at some of the finest spa resorts in the country. Places like Miracle Springs Hot Mineral Water Spa and Resort cater to those looking to soak in the natural hot springs, which have long been thought to have medicinal qualities. And, since Desert Hot Springs is really a part of the larger golf community of Palm Springs, there's no shortage of places to hit the long ball before soothing your aching muscles in the natural heat of the hot springs.

Calistoga

Another excellent hot spring destination is Calistoga. It's located just North of Napa Valley so you can mix in a lot of different experiences on your stay. Not only is Napa renowned for its California wineries but the golf is some of the best in the world with Mount St. Helena and Oakmont Golf Clubs located within 10 miles of the city. If you're going to get the best of the hot springs, try the Roman Spa Hot Springs Resort which offers package deals for two where you can enjoy the hot springs and get a couples mud bath and massage along with your room for a reasonable rate.

Sycamore Springs

Located just to the south and west of San Luis Obispo lies the small town of Arroyo Grande. The area sits midway up the coast between San Francisco and Los Angeles and is another excellent choice if you're looking to get the best enjoyment out of the California hot springs. Sycamore Mineral Springs caters to those seeking the relaxation and rejuvenation of a California hot springs experience with a very romantic setting featuring cascading waterfalls and rich, deep tropical vegetation. You can also get spa treatments but you don't have to be a guest of the resort or book a spa treatment to enjoy the natural hot springs. The Pacific is minutes away and nearby are Black Lake Golf Club and Pismo Beach Golf Course, which are two of the finer courses to play around town.
