New York City Sightseeing Tours

New York City Sightseeing Tours
There is golf in New York City. Whether you are here to play at a municipal course or an exclusive club, you must also remember that you are in New York City, an amazing place with plenty of things to see and do. So even though you might have come for golf, you should try to visit some of the other attractions, and the best and most organized way to do this is to reserve a tour for you and your group.

Double Decker Bus Tour

Grey Line Double Decker Tours are a great way to see a little bit of everything. They have different length tours, such as two and three days, that allow you to hop on and off at different stops and spend as much time as you want at a location. They also have a tour that includes a New York Pass, which gets you into many of the attractions the tour will take you to without having to pay the entrance fee. Tours range from $75 up to $200 in 2009 (not including the pass). Sites include typical places like the Empire State Building and Statue of Liberty, and others like Brooklyn Gardens and Fulton Mall.

The Duck Tour

The Duck Tour is a different way to see the sites of New York. Take a ride on a bus that is also a boat, traveling around the city and then into the Hudson River for a distant view of the skyline. Before going into the river, you'll be shown a movie about Henry Hudson and his travel across the ocean. The tour begins and ends in Times Square. Prices run up to $24 (2009).

OnBoard Tours

OnBoard Tours is a bus tour with a twist. They use smaller buses to keep tours more personal, and the bus guide actually gets off the bus with you. He is in charge of the group, able to answer questions, give out interesting facts and guide the group through the different locations. Chilled water is provided. Stops include the Empire State Building, Time Square and Wall Street. Cost varies depending on the tour you pick.
