Our nation's capital is rich with history. It also has a rich history of pleasing golfers with year-round courses like East Potomac, Rock Creek and Langston golf courses, all located in and around the historic buildings of power in Washington, D.C. Since the city is the political hotbed of the country, there are many fine hotels to choose from should you be looking to stay and play for a few days.

Hotel Palomar

The Hotel Palomar is located in one of Washington's trendiest areas, Dupont Circle. It is a boutique hotel but the rooms are spacious at over 500 square feet. They also feature 37-inch flat screen televisions, free WiFi, bathrobes and a mini-bar. The hotel offers in-room spa service so you can be pampered and muscles can be soothed without having to step outside. There is an outdoor pool that is just perfect for entertaining at the end of the day and a fitness center with Precor work out machines.

Capitol Skyline Hotel

If boutique stuffy isn't your style, then the Capitol Skyline Hotel offers a different experience for travelers. Sofitel Washington, D.C. Lafayette Square

The exclusivity of the Hotel Sofitel is almost predetermined by its location. Situated right across the street from the Capitol, the hotel is housed in a building, built in 1888, which is a National landmark in its own right. The rooms are classy and yet vibrant with whites set off by flaming red accents and brushed nickel accoutrements. Glass enclosed showers, a mini-bar and WiFi make their rooms the perfect place to hole up after a day on the course.
