Fun Things to Do in Miami Beach, Florida
For the golf lover, it doesn't get much better than Miami. There are dozens of courses to choose from including Doral and the historic Biltmore. But, once one arrives in the world-famous fashion and nightlife hot spot, they soon realize that there is a whole lot more to do in Miami than just play golf.

Play Doral

If golfers have a list of the 100 things they wanted to do before they die, playing golf at Doral would be right up there near the top. If it isn't, it should be. The course was redesigned by Raymond Floyd in 1993 and includes some of the most spectacular holes known to golf, including the Blue Monster course which has proven to be both a challenge and a joy for PGA Tour professionals and weekend warriors alike. The course offers golfers the incredible experience of hitting from the same spots and walking in the shoes of nearly every professional golfer since the 1960s. Best of all, you can stay and play at the course with world-class lodging owned by Marriott.

Jim McLean Golf School

Even the PGA Touring pros get lessons--and not just once in a blue moon. Tiger Woods is always trying to improve his game, and there is only one Tiger Woods. So that should tell you a little something about how good golfers become great and how great golfers keep getting better. The Jim McLean Golf School is located at Doral, so you can kill two birds with one stone, or golf balls, as it may be. Jim McLean is one of the foremost experts on swing mechanics and was voted the PGA National Teacher of the Year in 1994. His methods and instruction have been applied by more than 100 PGA, LPGA and Senior PGA professionals, so getting your game tightened shouldn't be a problem. The lesson includes video swing analysis, range time and course management on beautiful Doral grounds.

South Beach

A trip to Miami without a stop over in world-famous South Beach is like going to New York and not seeing the city. South Beach is buzzing no matter what time of the day or night you go, so it will easily fit in to your daily golfing regimen. You can go and hang out on the incredible white sand of Miami beach, shop at some of the most exclusive fashion retailers in the world, people watch or hit the clubs. Nightlife is anything but the usual down on South Beach with dozens of the trendiest night spots dotting Ocean Drive up and down the coast.
