Eldorado Resort Casino
Besides the fact that the Eldorado Resort Casino is a mere three miles from both Lakeside Park Golf Course and Brooks Golf Course, the place is worth the stay and play alone. The rooms are clean and comfortable, if not spectacular. Down on the gaming floor, guests are greeted by 1,500 slots, 60 table games, including black jack, craps and roulette. Plus, a third-floor poker room allows you to play with the big boys but doesn't guarantee you're going to walk out with your shirt. The Eldorado also offers up a nice selection of giveaway events, so you don't have to gamble big money to win big.

Sam's Town
You could stick your arm out the Eldorado Hotel and end up hitting Sam's Town. It sits right next door, so obviously it's also centrally located for golfing convenience. With casinos in six other cities including Las Vegas and Atlantic City, the Sam's Town has a history of providing gaming that suits the tastes of gamblers everywhere. The casino area is a bit smaller than the Eldorado, but with 1,100 slots and a healthy supply of table games, the casino still has a lot to offer. Sam's Town also has 514 rooms spaced out over 25 stories, and a spa and fitness facility is available for guests to work tired, stressed-out muscles or build new ones.

Silver Dollar Casino
As of October 2009, Silver Dollar Casino in Shreveport has not yet opened. But if their other properties are any indication, the Silver Dollar Casino should be worth a try. The franchise is owned by a company called Jacobs Entertainment. They have two casinos in Colorado and two in Nevada, (not in Vegas).

Other Excellent Casinos
There are three other excellent casinos in the Shreveport area: the Horseshoe, Boomtown and Diamond Jacks. These casinos technically lie in the town of Bossier. All three are very nice and are literally a quarter of a mile from Shreveport, just on the other side of the Mississippi.
