The Ashton Hotel
While there's a bevy of choices when it comes to chain hotels (such as The Days Inn and Sheraton), one hotel unique to the Texas area is the Ashton Hotel. Described on its website as the city's only small luxury hotel, the Ashton offers amenities not usually found in chain hotels. Babysitting services are offered, iPod docking stations are in each room and the entire hotel is a nonsmoking environment.
There are nearly a dozen golf courses located in the Fort Worth downtown area, but the closest to the Ashton is the Sycamore Creek Golf Course. The Sycamore complex offers five municipality-owned courses and hosts tournaments for amateurs year-round.
