List of Airlines That Fly to Hawaii
There are six main airlines that fly to the Hawaiian Islands from the United States mainland. Some offer direct flights from major cities across the U.S., while others connect through the bigger West Coast airports. While the majority of flights to Hawaii arrive at Honolulu International Airport (HNL), the airports at Kahului on Maui (OGG), Lihue on Kaui (LIH) and Kona on the Big Island (KOA) are also well served by domestic and international airlines. Inter-island flights are provided by several carriers, meaning most of the islands of Hawaii are easily accessible from anywhere in the U.S. When planning a golf vacation to Hawaii, research the baggage policies and fees of the different airlines and factor this into your total costs.

American Airlines

American Airlines offers daily flights to Lihue Airport, Honolulu International, Kahului and Kona from every major U.S. city. Many flights connect through Los Angeles or San Francisco International airports. Passengers may check one golf bag with up to 14 clubs, 12 balls and one pair of golf shoes weighing up to 70 lbs. for the same fees as a regular checked bag.

As of October 2009, it costs $20 for the first bag and $30 for the second, with a $5 extra fee tacked on if you pay at the airport instead of online.
