Flushing, in the borough of Queens, offers three professional level golf courses, each with their unique characteristics. Easily accessible by subway (line 7), Flushing is a lively neighborhood that is worth exploring after you are done on the course.
Kissena Park Golf Course
A par 64 course with a maximum yardage of 4,665 and a slope rating of 94, the Kissena course is short but tricky. It features hills and some very difficult holes. The eleventh tee offers great views of Manhattan. Charlie Rollo and Young Chung, PGA pro golfers, teach here. A snack bar is on the premises and the course offers special outing (group) packages that start at $55 per golfer and include cart, parking and reservation fee, snack and 18-hole greens fee.

Flushing Meadows Pitch & Putt
This 18-hole golf course is the only one in NYC lighted for night play. The course remains open until 1 a.m. during the summer. Rental clubs are available for those who prefer not to drag their own equipment to and from the office, and accessories, like golfs and pitching edges, are available for sale. This is an 18-hole regulation bent grass green, with distances of 40 to 80 yards between holes. There's also an 18-hole mini-golf course here (also lit for nighttime play), which features waterfalls, bridges, streams and other well-landscaped hazards.

Clearview Golf Course
Located next to the Throgs Neck Bridge, this is probably one of the largest and best golf courses in the state. The 8,000-foot putting green is ideal for practice, while the tees (forward, mid and backwards) make it possible for players of all abilities to enjoy the course. This par 70 course has a yardage of 6328 and a slope of 119. There are also a pro shop, cart rental, cocktail bar and pull carts available. The clubhouse has meeting and business rooms available for rent. There are weekly tournaments and contests held here, with personalized merchandise and prizes.
