Silver Diner
You'll bump into a lot of locals---and visitors---enjoying breakfast at the Silver Diner. The fun menu includes waffles and pancakes; creamed chipped beef with buttermilk biscuits; and thick French toast made of challah and drizzled with caramel.
For egg dishes, you can choose a classic or a crab Benedict, or a griddle featuring scrambled eggs with cheese and meats or vegetables. The omelets are tempting, too. Try one with sliced sirloin, grilled onions and cheese; crab cake, corn and salsa; or zucchini, mushrooms and tomatoes.

Baker's Crust
If you like fresh baked goods with your breakfast, head for Baker's Crust. You'll find a mouthwatering array of flaky croissants (filled with chocolate if you like), cinnamon rolls, sticky buns, cream cheese or peach Danish, and muffins such as blueberry, banana nut and zucchini pineapple.
For heartier fare, try a specialty omelet featuring feta cheese, roasted tomatoes and spinach; jumbo crab, cheese and chopped tomato; or maple sausage, potatoes and cheese. Other favorites include French toast made with fresh cinnamon bread, and a croissant topped with egg, bacon, tomato and cheese. For lighter fare, order the yogurt and granola with fruit-and-nut bread.

Doc Taylor's
Doc Taylor's features a friendly, casual atmosphere and scrumptious food. The restaurant, located in an old beach house, offers indoor and porch seating.
The tempting breakfast choices make it hard to decide what to order. The pancakes are popular---you can choose varieties such as blueberry, granola or chocolate chip. And then there are the cheese grits with andouille sausage or ham and the savory chipped beef on toast. Many patrons come back for the breakfast sandwich that features egg, cheese, meat and a tomato encrusted with Parmesan. If you're in the mood, accompany your meal with a reasonably priced mimosa, screwdriver or bloody Mary.
