Keep in Mind
Las Vegas is a very popular conference or trade show location. If you travel to Vegas during these times, expect that it will be difficult to find a hotel or book a tee time. Check a calendar to avoid major trade shows, if possible. If it's not possible, remember that you'll be paying premium room rates.
Luxury Resorts
If you'd like to augment your golfing with spa experiences or fine dining, you don't have to stay at the hotel that houses the spa or restaurant--but it can make the logistics of cleaning up after play and getting to your appointment or reservation much easier. The luxury resort hotels are the most expensive, and offer the services to match. They include such delights as the Bellagio, Mandalay Bay, The Venetian and the Four Seasons (which doesn't include a casino on property). These hotels also offer full concierge service, which may make a tee time that was previously unavailable open up.

What's Old is New Again
Harrah's and Caesar's are both completely remodeled and updated. Bally's continues to offer its standard fare--somewhat updated with its attachment to Paris Las Vegas. None of the classic hotels still exist; The Stardust has been replaced by the Echelon Palace, due to open in 2010. The Tropicana is undergoing major renovations as well. These hotels offer a mid-priced option and are still close to the major spots on the Strip.
