Golf Lessons in Tampa Florida
Every golfer needs lessons from time to time to correct mistakes in a swing and to improve scores. So there's no better time to take one than while your golf group or golfing members of your family are on vacation in Tampa, Florida. Since golf is a favorite pastime for so many residents and visitors, Tampa boasts having more knowledgeable golf professionals who can help you improve your game than most other cities in the country.

Golf Made Simple

Personalization is what sets Golf Made Simple apart from many other programs. Simply, the instructors here help you decide what your golf swing should feel like, then make corrections to your swing that are more repeatable. The theory is that you should be able to take those improvements onto the golf course. Recently, it has moved its facilities to The Innisbrook Resort and Golf Club, home to four world-class golf courses and a 10-acre practice facility. You will receive instruction for about four hours followed by a nine-hole playing lesson with a certified instructor. Two full days of intensive instruction will cost about $1,000, based on 2009 prices.

Westchase Golf Club

Richard Veghte, a Class A PGA teaching professional since 1995, oversees two others, Cameron Ross and Andy Mollerud, in providing intensive instructions in the correct way to hit the golf ball. If you are having problems with your long-game or your chipping and putting need work, a one-hour lesson will result in marked improvement in your game. In addition, you can also schedule a nine-hole playing lesson at Westchase to be sure that what you learn on the practice tee will translate to actual play. A one-hour lesson from these professionals will cost about $60, based on 2009 prices.

Saddlebrook Resort

Saddlebrook Resort is headquarters of the Arnold Palmer Golf Academy, where all golf instructors have been trained in Palmer's teaching philosophy to provide lessons to golfers looking to improve their games, regardless of ability. The theory it employs is quite simple. It analyzes your strengths and weaknesses, then builds on those strengths and eliminates bad parts of your game. Saddlebrook Resort sports two golf courses that were designed by Arnold Palmer, both among best-recognized courses in the nation. Three days of intensive instruction and a room at Saddlebrook will cost about $1,600, based on 2009 prices.
