This 18-hole, par-72, 6,950-yard masterpiece is the former home of the Senior PGA Championship and is a both a beauty to look at and a joy to play. Ten holes have lakes involved, including No. 2 (which has two lakes that make it a difficult par-5) and No. 17, which is split in two by a lake but is a fairly easy par-3. Rates to experience this quality golf course begin around $140 for two golfers (as of 2009).

The Dunes Course at the Dunes Golf and Beach Club
The Dunes Course is an 18-hole, par-72, 7,165-yard course in Myrtle Beach that is one of the city's best. This course has four holes (1, 10, 16 and 18) that have lakes intersecting them, making for beautiful scenery and tougher shots. There are also several large bunkers strategically placed to front many of the greens. The course rates begin around $115 per round for two golfers (as of 2009).

The PineHills Course at Myrtlewood Golf Club
This is another one of the best golf courses in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. The PineHills is the sole golf course located along Myrtle Beach's renowned Grand Strand (a stretch of 60 miles of white beaches along the Atlantic Ocean) and was designed by Arthur Hills. It is an 18-hole, par-72, 6,640-yard course with numerous water hazards and hills that present a difficult challenge and an enjoyable time. This course is a great one to either play or simply look at; prices start around $55 per round per person (as of 2009).
