Round of Golf
You may not feel like hitting the links at sunrise, but a mid-morning round may be just the trick to get over a good New Year's Eve in the Las Vegas area. There are over 30 public and private golf courses in the area, but one course worth checking out is the Las Vegas Golf Club. The course is just over 6,600 yards with a slope rating of 117. If you are considering playing golf on New Year's Day, booking your tee time in advance is highly recommended.

See the Strip
After you're done with a mid-morning round to help shake out the fun of New Year's Eve, visit the Strip for the late afternoon and early evening to further celebrate the near year. You won't see the same size crowds as on New Year's Eve, however, those who come out on New Year's Day are just as much fun.
Relax at Lake Meade
If you get up a little bit early, you can drive to Lake Meade to enjoy the day on the lake itself. Depending on the weather, it may be a bit too chilly to enjoy swimming, but you can still enjoy the lake by taking a paddle boat tour of Hoover Dam and the surrounding area. Getting a breath of fresh air at the lake could be just the thing to get you ready for an afternoon round of golf back in the Vegas area prior to commencing your night-time activities.
