Top Ten Myrtle Beach Golf Courses
Myrtle Beach stretches across 60 miles of sandy beaches and contains over a hundred golf courses and attractions. It is one of the most popular destinations for golfers to go to because of the diversity of the golf courses. The golf courses at Myrtle Beach offer something for golfers at all levels.

Wizard Golf Links

This golf course has elevation changes which forces you to adjust your swings. Wizard is also one of the hardest courses at Myrtle Beach because of the water hazards on certain holes that are apparent the second you step foot on the course.

This more casual golf course has plenty of sand traps, but you can practice at their practice facility or you can take lessons at their golf school. This is a good round of golf to play for casual golfers, but offers a few holes that are perfect for those who like a challenge.

The water may be pretty, but it is also a hazard. This course is specifically for you to use all your skills and there are very few sand traps to contend with. Golfers enjoy this course because it forces them to hit more accurate shots from the tee.

The Dunes

The course has undergone several changes since the 70s. Many golfers play at The Dunes because of the challenge on several of holes including the infamous 13th hole, a par 5 that is 590 yards long. Golfers play at the Dunes only to play that hole. You need to have be a member of The Dunes to play on the golf course.

Sandpiper Bay Golf Course

This wonderfully groomed golf course takes you through a visually stunning course. The slope at Sandpiper is harder to play because it looks so subtle from the tee box. This produces a challenge to adjust on the hole. Much of the water is off to the left so there is no need to worry unless you hook the ball.

The Thistle

This is one of the newest golf courses near Myrtle Beach, but it is making waves because of the hard, yet fair golf course. This course forces golfers not to overshoot the ball. The Thistle has water traps, but also marshes that can engulf the ball. It is a very technical course.

Wicked Stick

Wicked Stick offers a course that allows golfers to showcase their teeing off ability. The wide open course has few obstacles to get in the way of the tee shot, but it becomes tricky on some holes to compensate for the massive mounds and traps.
