L. B. Houston Golf Course
This high-quality but affordable golf course was built in 1960 and offers Bermuda fairways, a putting green and a practice bunker. Those who need some time alone can also find a chipping area here. The course itself was designed by David Bennett and features a variety of obstacles, such as water hazards and tree-lined open greens. Handicap players will find this course an easy-to-manage but still challenging place. The golf shop offers a good chance to stock up on supplies at an affordable price, while the instruction programs make it possible for golfers of every level to perfect their game.

Events and Tournaments
While Dallas is not a major host for golf tournaments, there are still a few events that are worth seeing. One is the Erwin Hardwicke Tournament, held in May. Another is the Dallas Pub Links Kay Kup in September. Junior events includes the Dallas Junior Golf Pro Am in May. The city also offers a number of clinics for those who need to brush up on their techniques or are ready to move to a new level. For example, the Tuesday Scramble at the Keeton Park Golf Range offers participants a chance to improve their game and make the switch from the driving range to a full-size golf course.
