Located along Chicago's lakefront, Lakeview is a short trip north from downtown Chicago. With a lakefront golf course, a mini golf course, a driving range, a legendary ballpark and plenty of sports bars, Lakeview is a must stop for golfers. Since parking in Lakeview is scarce, especially during Cubs games, it is strongly recommended that visitors to Lakeview use public transportation.
Sydney R. Marovitz Golf Course
Golfers visiting Lakeview and looking to get nine holes in can head over to the Sydney R. Marovitz Golf Course. Located along Lake Michigan, the public course provides golfers with stunning views. Novice golfers should beware that errant shots can land in Lake Michigan or hit pedestrians on the bike path that runs alongside the greens. Also, Marovitz is a public course and sometimes the pace of play lags.

Chicago Cubs Game at Wrigley Field
Golfers who are baseball fans will want to try to catch a Chicago Cubs game at Wrigley Field. The Cubs play from April through September at legendary Wrigley Field, which opened in 1914, and the ballpark is located in the middle of Lakeview. Getting tickets well in advance is strongly recommended, but if you wait until the last minute, tickets are available from several ticket brokers near the ballpark even on the day of the game.
If you get an early enough tee time, you can play a round at Marovitz before a Cubs day game. Or take advantage of the longer summer days and try to squeeze in nine holes at Marovitz after the game. Or simply play Marovitz during the day before going to a Cubs night game.
