Things to do in Chicago on the Weekend
A trip to Chicago offers a visitor with a number of great vacation opportunities and some outstanding golf courses. Chicago has a signficant volume of courses in the metropolitian area including some top-of-the-line golf courses. The most highly rated course in the area is Cog Hill in Lemont, Illinois. This course has been the home to the Western Open for decades and now hosts the BMW Open. This tournament attracts top golfers like Tiger Woods, Padraig Harrington and Jim Furyk. Cog Hill is a public course and that means you can play on the same course that those great pros have teed it up on. After playing the course, you can enjoy Chicago the rest of the weekend.

Cog Hill Golf and Country Club

Cog Hill in Lemont may be the most challenging golf course in the Chicago area. It is actually a series of four golf courses that the golfer can choose from. The most difficult and memorable of the courses is called "Dubsdread" and it is the one the PGA golfers use for BMW Open. It is a great challenge with deep bunkers and a number of water hazards.
