Chicago Deep Dish Pizza
No visit to Chicago is complete without enjoying the food the city is famous for. Chicago-style deep dish pizza, which is often imitated around the country but rarely properly duplicated, is a staple of the Chicago dining experience. With a two-inch-thick crust and a combination of cheeses melted underneath a layer of fresh crushed and seasoned tomatoes, one slice is usually enough to fill even the biggest appetite. There are a number of great pizzerias around the city, but only Giordano's has been voted "Best Pizza" by NBC's "Today Show," Fox-Chicago, the "Chicago Tribune's" readers and the "New York Times." Giordano's has 12 locations in Chicago in addition to many more in the bordering suburbs.

21 & Over
There may be trendier 21-and-over restaurants, which can go in and out of style with Chicagoans, but for a true sense of the city and a great atmosphere, Rock Bottom is the bar & grill at the top of the list. Equipped with their own in-house brewery, Rock Bottom offers a line of its own special brews as well as the normal domestic and import varieties one would find at any bar. Rock Bottom also has an area at the back where patrons can shoot a game of billiards or darts, and they can enjoy their dinner or drinks in the open air roof-top beer garden that overlooks the city. Check their website for special events or if you would like to rent out the establishment for private parties or functions.

Family Restaurant
If the entire family was brought along on the golf trip, Chicago also has a wide variety of restaurants that are fun for all ages. The ESPN Zone, with the theme of the popular worldwide sports network, has something for everyone. The first floor offers a full-course dining experience with large flat-screen televisions so you never miss a second of the days sporting events. For the kids and adults alike, the entire second floor is an interactive gaming area that allows players to become part of the action. Live full-sized pitching simulators or taking the football and becoming a quarterback with moving targets are just a couple of the games that the ESPN Zone includes. During the day, viewers can come by and watch a live taping of sports journalist Jay Mariotti's appearance on the ESPN show "Around the Horn."
