Play Miniature Golf
Not far from the Las Vegas Strip is King Putt, an indoor miniature golf facility that is fun, safe, inexpensive family entertainment. The course is sort of a mini-jungle; you're surrounded by animals that seem real because they are illuminated by "black lights." King Putt is open until 10 p.m. during the week and until 1 a.m. on Fridays and Saturdays.

Join The Tour
Even if you are only an occasional player, you can "join the tour" in Las Vegas. Actually, it is Golf Galaxy's version of the PGA Tour and it's open to anyone who shoots about 95 or better for 18 holes. During most months, there are two tournaments at Las Vegas-area courses and it costs less than $100 per person to play. You can sign up individually, as a twosome or as a foursome and the first prize in each event is $1,000. Participating sponsors are Callaway, "Golf Magazine" and PGA Tour Partners. Visit the company's website to see if there will be a tournament in Las Vegas while you're there.
