The Best Seafood Restaurants in Atlanta
Perhaps you've been asked by your golf group or members of your family that are hooked on the game to recommend places where they can go on their next outing. Many golfers are heading to Atlanta because of the fine golf courses there. You can play Bobby Jones Golf Course, named after the golfing legend, as well as East Lake or Ansley Golf Club, both of which are in very good shape throughout the year. In addition to courses, you should also recommend good places to eat.

AquaKnox

You may be in Atlanta but you'll think your in Las Vegas when you see the décor of this snazzy restaurant. Begin your meal with their delicious lobster bisque. Then have the crab cakes or the grilled king salmon served with a sauce that the restaurant makes with fresh vegetables. The wine list skews more toward the reds, but lighter ones go especially well with seafood. For those in your party who prefer something other than seafood, they'll find steaks and fowl on the menu to satisfy them.

Chops/Lobster Bar

Whether you come as a group or decide to dine alone, this restaurant has a way to make you or your party very comfortable, with a friendly waitstaff and very friendly patrons. To begin your seafood experience, start with a variety of oysters from around the world. Then head directly to the lobster bisque--a house favorite. If you come as a group, consider ordering the shellfish combination mounded on a chilled platter, the specialty of this restaurant and a great hors d'oeuvre. The numerous seafood dishes served there are outstanding so making a choice can be difficult.

Kyma

Pano Karatassos's parents came to America and settled in Savannah. Years later, he opened Kyma as a tribute to his Greek heritage. Kyma specializes in seafood from Greece and other places as well. Start your meal with an appetizer such as octopus that has been wood-grilled with red onions and red wine. Then dig into one of the house's many seafood entrees. And to add to the experience, if you should order fish, your server will bone it right at tableside. Choose a Greek wine from the sizable wine list.
