The Orchards Golf Club
At number two on the MichiganGolf.com list, the Orchards was built on wetlands ia a challenging course with nearly 100 bunkers and an abundance of trees. In July of 2009, this course was a stop on the U.S. amateur Public Links tour, which features the best amateur golfers in the country.

Holocaust Memorial Center
A tribute to the European Jews who lost their lives during Adolf Hitler's infamous Holocaust, this memorial offers a complete history of the events, from Hitler's rise to power and subsequent rounding up of the Jews into concentration camps. Exhibits include information on Jewish culture as well as a tribute to those who attempted to save them from extermination. Because of the potentially disturbing subject matter, the tour is not recommended for children.

Ford Field
Home to the Detroit Lions of the National Football League, Ford Field is a state-of the-art facility that has hosted one Super Bowl as of 2009, as well as concerts from top musical acts such as Kenny Chesney and college basketball's 2009 Final Four. The site is also the location of Commerica Park, home to baseball's Detroit Tigers. Facility tours, which include a visit to the locker rooms and playing surface, are available throughout the year.

Motown Museum
Detroit is known for the "Motown Sound" which has produced musical legends such as the Supremes, Marvin Gaye, and Smokey Robinson and the Miracles, and Stevie Wonder, to name a few. The Motown Museum includes tours of Hitsville USA, where much of this music was created. Memorabilia is on display, and you will be able to see Studio A, the actual recording studio used by famous producer Berry Gordy.

Henry Ford Museum
Detroit is also regarded as the birthplace of the automobile, with Henry Ford being one of the pioneers. The Henry Ford Museum, located in nearby Dearborn, Michigan, traces the history of the automobile from the early steam-powered contraptions to the present day vehicles. Exhibits include "Automobile in American Life," and "Presidential Limousines," a display of presidential limos dating back to Theodore Roosevelt and including the convertible in which John F. Kennedy was riding when he was assassinated in 1963.
