Golf and More Golf
Las Vegas and the surrounding area offer an abundance of golfing. The courses are world-class, and the weather is ideal for golfing much of the year. While summer golfing means an early tee time, the rest of the year provides a temperate climate with little precipitation. The golf course at the Wynn, which opened in 2005, is often listed as the number one course in Vegas (see Resources below). It's a par 70 designed by golf great Thomas Fazio.
The Las Vegas Country Club also makes the top list for golfing in Las Vegas. Designed by Brian Ault and Ron Garl, the course is a Las Vegas classic. It is a par 72 that opened in 1967 and recently underwent a multimillion dollar renovation.
Carved out of the desert and providing a beautiful and challenging course, Wolf Creek at Paradise Canyon is a golfer's delight. The course opened in 2000 and is a par 72. It was designed by Dennis Rider.

Take a Seminar on Golf
Make the most of your golfing trip to Vegas by getting some schooling on your stroke. You can either enjoy a completely personalized training experience, such as the one at Bird Golf School at the Paiute Golf School. This school provides a ratio of one student to one instructor to ensure that the lessons are focused exclusively on you. Bruce Baird's golf school in Las Vegas provides an approach that enables you to develop your own game. Rather than attempting to focus on one style of play, this golf school helps you find your natural swing.

The Glamour
Head to the tables once the sun goes down, since there's no way to play nighttime golf as of yet. The Wynn Hotel and Casino has a course on premises, so you can play until late and then head inside to gamble. They offer all the standard casino games from poker to Blackjack to slot machines as well as a full sports book. You can also enjoy a show; Vegas offers live musical entertainment from Cher, Bette Midler or other luminaries as well as comedic performances. If you'd rather see a production, consider "Beatles LOVE" based on the Beatles' songs or one of Cirque du Soleil's many shows.
You can also simply walk the Strip and enjoy the sights and sounds that Vegas has to offer (see Resources for a full walking tour). Start at the Bellagio and watch the musical waters and continue past a scaled-down Eiffel Tower, among other attractions.
Finally, Vegas offers world-class cuisine. After a day on the links, you're sure to have worked up an appetite, often rated one of the best restaurants in Las Vegas STRIPSTEAK, one of Michael Mina's famed establishments, offers delicious, handcrafted meals of steaks and seafood as well as an amazing wine list. Located in Mandalay Bay, you can indulge in a wonderful meal.
