Clothing
Just about any type of clothing is acceptable in Las Vegas. About the only exception is if you plan on spending time in the casinos, as many require formal or semi-formal attire for certain events. If you plan on sightseeing, you should also pack comfortable walking shoes as well as a warm jacket to protect against nighttime chill.
Sun Protection
Due to its desert location, Las Vegas can be extremely hot during the day for most of the year. Sunscreen with an SPF of 30 or higher is essential for those who burn easily or have fair skin. Although Las Vegas is not located near a beach, the hot climate has spawned an abundance of swimming pools, so swimming accessories should also be considered for your suitcase.
Photo/Video Equipment
Because of the many different sights that are part of Las Vegas, you may want to be sure to have a way to record them. A high-quality camera would be beneficial, and since there is much to see after dark, your camera should be capable of taking pictures at night. A video camera is another way to capture all the action.
Extra Suitcase
If you are planning to purchase items from some of the many stores and shops in Las Vegas, it may be a good idea to bring along an extra suitcase. An option is to purchase one in Las Vegas, but in many cases the price may be higher than at home.
