Barry Manilow at the Hilton, Elton John at Caesars, Cher at Caesars and Bette Midler at Caesars offer musical shows in Las Vegas. They feature a variety of their hits, as well as dancing and covers of other tunes. Couples featured in Vegas include Donny and Marie Osmond (of the eponymous show), who offer musical numbers and a few comedy sketches.
Musical theater
If you enjoy Broadway-style shows, consider seeing "Mamma Mia!" at Mandalay Bay, the show is based on a collection of ABBA tunes; "Beatles Love" at the Mirage is based on the Beatles' collection; the Blue Man Group performs at the Venetian and features comedy and audience interaction; "Phantom of the Opera" at the Venetian retells the classic tale and "Tony and Tina's Wedding" at the Rio provides interactive and improvisational comedy.
Cirque du Soleil style performances
Cirque du Soleil's sensuous and mysterious productions abound in Las Vegas, as do copies. "Le Reve" at the Wynn offers aquatic features, dance and acrobatics; "O" at the Bellagio offers an underwater production and "Mystere" at Treasure Island will help alter your definition of circus.
Comedy and Magic
Comedy shows rotate on a regular basis, but there are a few standards. Rita Rudner at Harrah's and Second City at the Flamingo consistently perform on the Strip. Magic shows similarly change frequently, but tickets to see Criss Angel at the Luxor and Anthony Cools at the Paris Hotel are typically available.
Adult Shows
If you're hoping to see adult performances, Chippendale dancers perform nightly to crowds of happy women at the Rio. "Zumanity" at New York, New York and "Jubilee" at Bally's are also higher-end, dance style performances that provide adult entertainment.
