Platte River Cabins
Situated at Platte River's Edge in the midst of the White Pines River Resort, each of the company's cabins allows you to fish just outside your door. Platte River boasts five luxurious lodgings with modern amenities, including hot tubs in two of the cabins, as well as gas grills. However, the dwellings do not come with any TVs, as the purpose of the cabins, as Platte River's website suggests, is to take you away from it all.
The cabins offer several different packages that include massages, as well as flowers and a bottle of champagne for couples looking for a romantic getaway. Lodges are equipped with various-sized kitchens, bathrooms and sleeping accommodations for at least two people.

Built in 1950, each of these cabins offers a queen-sized bed, a kitchen, a bathroom and a fireplace, as well as a large assortment of puzzles and games as an alternative to television and video games. Several amenities also come with each cabin; a microwave, stove, refrigerator and coffeemaker in every kitchen and soaps, bathrobes and showers in every bathroom.
The views from each of the two cabins--Pine Cabin and Fir Cabin--consist of a rushing creek, large rocks and tall pine trees. While Pine Cabin comes with a private sauna, Fir Cabin provides a dining area near the kitchen.
