Chef Jeff Tunks prepares Cajun cuisine at Acadiana restaurant, which is located approximately eight miles southeast of Bethesda in the Georgetown area. Reservations are highly suggested at this establishment that has a power scene and a trendy environment with a casually dressy dress code. Acadiana has an elegant dining room complete with white linen-covered tables, ornate lighting fixtures and wood accents. There are banquet facilities for gatherings hosting up to 175 guests. Serving lunch and dinner, dinner entrees include authentic Cajun dishes, such as Louisiana seafood gumbo, blackened redfish and New Orleans-style barbecue shrimp served with warm bread.

Utopia Bar & Grill
Six miles south of Bethesda, the Utopia Bar & Grill can be found in the U Street District in Washington D.C. near the African-American Civil War Memorial. This Cajun-inspired restaurant serves a fusion of spicy New Orleans tradition and Italian authenticity. Utopia has walls decorated with art that has been provided by members of the Washington, D.C. artistic community. Also in pursuit of its quest to creatively inspire its guests, live music is provided every night except on Mondays. In addition to its Cajun fare, Utopia features a bar menu with an extensive list of martinis, wines, beers and coffee beverages. Though it serves brunch and lunch, Cajun dinner entrees include chicken pecan served with Creole cream, rice and vegetables, and Gulf shrimp jambalaya.
