Endwell, New York, is a suburb of the college town Binghamton, and has a population of 11,706, according to the 2000 census. It is also the home to two golf courses, Endwell Greens and the Binghamton Country Club. There are several hotels in the area to accommodate your stay.

If you don't look closely, you could mistake the Knights Inn for a large house, a charming three-story lodging with dormer windows. In addition to the golf courses nearby, it is also just seven miles from the State University of New York-Binghamton, five miles from two shopping malls and eight miles from the Binghamton Zoo. Several restaurants are within a five-minute walk, though some rooms have refrigerators and microwaves if you want to prepare your own meals and snacks. Courtyard Marriott is located less than three miles from Endwell. It features an actual courtyard with a white gazebo and brick pathways. If the workout you get on the golf course isn't sufficient, you can take advantage of the indoor pool or fitness center. A selection of snacks is available on-site, but for something more hearty an Applebee's is nearby, and will even deliver to your room. The Marriott's restaurant serves only breakfast.

Traditions at the Glen
Traditions at the Glen, a resort and conference center that has its own 18-hole golf course, is located in Johnson City. The rooms have free high-speed Internet and some of the suites have fireplaces--one even boasts a Jacuzzi. An on-site restaurant servdes lunch, and an expanded continental breakfast is available Monday through Saturday; the Sunday breakfast buffet incurs an additional charge. Traditions also features a spa and fitness center, a business center and event space.

Another lodging option in Vestal is the Quality Inn and Suites, next to the SUNY campus. Its complimentary services include breakfast, Wi-Fi access and a newspaper on weekdays. It has an outdoor pool as well as a fitness center. Pets can stay for an additional charge. Some rooms have refrigerators and microwaves; all rooms have Nintendo game systems, though there is a fee. You can request a non-smoking room. Quality Inn has a restaurant and bar, and offers a complimentary full breakfast.
