Historic Orléans sits on the banks of the Loire
Orleans' name descends from the Roman emperor Aurelian, who rebuilt the city after it was destroyed by Julius Caesar in 52 BC. It is in north-central France along the banks of the Loire River, approximately 80 miles from Paris. It is home to the Limere Golf Club designed by Cabell Robinson in 1992, as well as the Orleans Val de Loire Golf Club and the Les Bordes' Golf Club.
