The Modified Arts is a gallery by day and a music and dance venue by night. Evenings see a large stage and sound system added to the display galleries to feature live local acts that play music that includes smooth jazz and fusion. A cover is charged, with the amount depending on the individual act and the type of activity planned for the evening. Upscale attire is appropriate and street parking is available near the venue. The alternative lifestyle, Western-themed dance club offers free line dancing lessons on Tuesday, Thursday and Friday. The club takes the name Tranzylvania for the evening to host the state's largest goth event featuring a laser-light show and a trio of DJs. The club also is home to an Italian restaurant that is open for dinner dining during the week. Prices are upscale and the dress is uptown.
