Cotton-Eyed Joe
Depending on the night, Cotton-Eyed Joe offers a different set of drink specials, live-music events, open dance floor, free line-dancing lessons, contests and a limited menu. Monday is an exception to the norm, as it is Family-Night which includes pony rides, $1 soft-drinks and food items. This is the only night that alcohol is not served. Sunday is College Night---featuring a free pitcher of beer and free line-dancing lessons.
Well-known country music singers perform live at Cotton Eyed Joe; Previous shows have included Gretchen Wilson, Darius Rucker, Kellie Pickler and Julianne Hough. Available food and drink items include pub grub, salads, sandwiches and full bar unless otherwise specified. Baker Peters Jazz Club
According to Knoxville's local "Metropulse" magazine, Baker Peters is an upscale jazz and blues night club that does tandem duty as an excellent upscale restaurant. Located in a renovated Antebellum Era mansion, this nightclub is located just off Kingston Highway--the main traffic thoroughfare running east to west through Knoxville.
Baker Peters Jazz club serves up live performances by such musicians and singers as Bluesette, the Jazz Continuum and Boling, Brown and Holloway among others at least five nights per week. The upscale dining menu is filled with selections of salads, seafood, beef, poultry and lamb. If patrons are so inclined, a cigar menu and special martini menu are available, as is an ample wine list brimming with choices to fulfill most any sommelier's dreams. Special events are a regular part of this Jazz Club's customer offerings---Scotch tastings and wine tastings among them.

Tin Roof
The Tin Roof night club has self-branded itself "a live music joint," and lives up to that description. Normally, the look of this club would conjure up such monikers as "beer joint," or "dive bar" but the no-muss-no-fuss ambiance is something the original proprietors achieved on purpose. Located on Cumberland Avenue---a major border street of the sprawling University of Tennessee campus---this funky-styled night club is less than a mile from UT Knoxville's Neyland Stadium, home of the Vols.
The Tin Roof night club is known for its prolific live music roster---showcasing eclectic, alternative or country-and-western-tinged rock music from Tennessee-based bands like Mellow Down Easy or singer and musician Chris Weaver. Tin Roof takes pride in its menu of fresh-made selections of salads, dressings, grilled chicken, shrimp, tuna, original quesadilla creations and sandwiches; Included among the latter are Cubans, po-boys and chicken with avocado, roasted red peppers and provolone. A full bar is available and offers a nightly schedule of drink specials.
