Restaurants in Stockton, New Jersey
With quiet, small town appeal Stockton, New Jersey makes for a nice, unassuming spot for a golf getaway. Local courses include the Cooper Hill Country Club Course and Pine Creek Golf Course, both in nearby Ringoes. In addition to its two 18-hole courses, Pine Creek also features a miniature golf course. Other attractions in Stockton include Bull's Island Recreation Center, which offers a spacious campground along the Delaware River, and the New Hope & Ivyland Railroad, where you can travel on a historic steam powered passenger train. And, of course, after a long day of golf there are many fine restaurants in Stockton where you can rest and refuel.

The Stockton Inn

With a history stretching back over 300 years, the Stockton Inn is the town's most well-known restaurant, if not its most well-known landmark. It was made famous as the "small hotel with the wishing well" in the Broadway play "On Your Toes." The Stockton Inn not only rents rooms, it also has a full restaurant that's open to the public for lunch and dinner. Outdoor seating is available during warmer months and there is fireside seating during the winter. The lunch and tavern menu features various appetizers, sandwiches, burgers, wraps, salads and soups, and some basic lunch entrees (such as salmon, petite fillet minion, Chilean sea bass). The dinner menu features various appetizers, salads and soups, and a wide selection of dinner entrees (such as fillet minion, NY strip steak, pork loin, rack of lamb and lobster tail).
