Because animals are not allowed on the beach, there are few pet-friendly hotels in Tybee Island, which is situated next to Savannah, Georgia. Beachside Colony, the island's only oceanfront condo resort, consists of one-, two- and three-bedroom units throughout eight buildings, each with its own name. Some rooms offer Jacuzzi tubs, indoor or outdoor kitchens, 17-foot ceilings and private decks that overlook the Atlantic. Dine on the premises at Marlin Monroe's restaurant for lunch and dinner of seafood and steaks. Play the holes of Island Miniature Golf & Games, about seven miles away.

The Mimosa Cottage is situated three blocks from the beach and offers guests free Wi-Fi access, a fully equipped kitchen and self-laundry on the premises. There is an outdoor shower area, as well as a barbecue and picnic area. Complimentary beach bikes, chairs, boogie boards and a beach cart are provided. Please note this is a nonsmoking venue.
