Majorca, an island off the coast of Spain, presents a mecca for those who enjoy ocean recreation, including scuba diving, fishing, jet skiing and swimming. The beach scene, combined with fantastic golfing opportunities and a lively nightlife (including sports bars aplenty), makes Majorca an ideal holiday destination. Golf enthusiasts will be in heaven, with no less than 21 courses on the island. Those closest to the Cala Bona area include the nine-hole, yet very challenging Son Servera, the highly exclusive and pricey Pula Golf (sometimes frequented by the King of Spain), and the 18-hole courses at Canyamel and Capdepera. All offer panoramas of the Mediterranean and fun in the sun. When your day of golf is complete, relax at one of the hotels in Cala Bona, Majorca (spelled Mallorca is Spanish).

Hotel Cala Bona

Open since 1924, the Hotel Cala Bona is located by the old fishing port. Steps from the beach, the hotel provides standard rooms, ocean-view suites and heating/air conditioning, flat-screen panel TVs and fridges.
