With more than 100 golf courses in the surrounding area, and five municipal courses in the city itself, Toronto is one of Canada's world-class golfing destinations. The East End is among the city's oldest neighborhoods, with new businesses in remodeled older buildings, ethnic districts, bars and eateries, including popular Chinese restaurants.

Dragon Dynasty

This restaurant combines traditional Chinese flavors and ingredients with modern presentations. The deep fried crab claw is garnished with cuttlefish mousse, and the traditional pork dumpling is embellished with fish roe. There are 29 different kinds of dim sum, or small bites, from which to choose, such as deep fried or steamed dumplings and buns filled with pork, seafood and vegetables. The entrees include fish and shellfish live from the market. Rice and noodle choices range from simple steamed rice to shrimp, chicken and crab meat fried rice, and noodles come with scallops, eggs, shrimp or pork. Beer and wine are served.

Honey Bee

This restaurant serves Szechuan and Cantonese dishes. The house appetizer platter consists of egg rolls, sweet and sour crispy wontons, and fried chicken wings. The Szechuan specialties are chicken or beef with hot chile and orange sauce, shrimp with hot chile and roasted almonds, and vegetables with tofu in hot sauce, among others. Traditional Cantonese lo mein, or soft noodle, dishes are made with barbecued pork, shrimp, beef and Chinese vegetables. Egg foo young, the Chinese-style omelet, can be ordered with scallops, mushrooms, shrimp, pork or a combination. Beer and wine are served.

Bright Pearl

This restaurant specializes in the Chinese delicacy Peking duck, served in two courses, with the crispy skin and Mandarin pancakes first, followed by shredded duck meat and vegetables. Scallops with black bean sauce, shrimp with spicy eggplant, sweet and sour crispy fish filets, and braised lobster with onion and ginger are among the seafood offerings. There are also 12 different chicken dishes, plus a Mongolian beef hot pot, honey garlic spare ribs, and tofu in oyster sauce. There is also a 26 item dim sum menu and a full bar.
