Houston, Texas, is located in the southeastern part of the state on the Gulf of Mexico. Golf opportunities in Houston include the links at Glenbrook, Gus Wortham, Texaco Country Club and Pasadena Municipal Golf Courses. The city also is home to a host of fine dining locations. While the C.K. Revolving Rooftop Restaurant at the city's international airport is well-known, the city has other notable rooftop restaurants.
The 43rd Restaurant & Lounge
The 43rd Restaurant is located on the top floor of the downtown Wedge Tower, and offers an opportunity to enjoy a drink at the bar on the rooftop restaurant deck, if the weather is not too windy. The view from both the bar and restaurant shows off the entire downtown area. The eatery is open for lunch and the bar entertains guests until early evening for drinks. Attire is dressy for this upscale restaurant that offers a new lunch menu each month featuring fresh food, seafood and beef. The house specialty is the chef's seafood gumbo. Parking is by valet or self-parking in structures near the restaurant. Reservations are required and may be made online. Happy Hour is limited to only 160 guests, so reservations should be made early. Smoking and non-smoking options are available, with an appropriate reservation. Business dress is appropriate for both the lounge and restaurant during the lunch hour.
