Yuma is a quiet desert town located along the border of California, Arizona, and Mexico. Because of its southwestern location, it has become a popular vacation spot for people fleeing the cold winter months in the northern United States and Canada. Yuma's most recent development, the Foothills, has two public golf courses: the Foothills Golf Course and Mesa del Sol Golf Course. While most lodging in the Foothills area is RV lots and temporary housing, there are still a few good hotels in the Foothills and greater Yuma area.

Fairfield Inn by Marriott
The Fairfield Inn in Yuma is just outside the Foothills and more in the city. It is visible from Interstate 8, making it convenient for people who are new to Yuma, but putting it further away from Mesa del Sol and the Foothills Golf Course. The Fairfield Inn is close to tourist stops such as the Historic Yuma Crossing and the Yuma Territorial Prison, an adobe prison that was hand-built by its seven first inmates back in 1876. The hotel's amenities include a swimming pool, handicapped access and complimentary breakfast.

Holiday Inn Express
Also located near the interstate, the Holiday Inn Express is pet-friendly and offers such amenities as a free breakfast, an on-site gym, and laundry facilities. It also has a heated pool and whirlpool. The Holiday Inn Express boasts its close proximity to most of the tourist attractions, including the Yuma Territorial Prison and the Colorado River.

Radisson Hotel Yuma
The Radisson offers many of the same amenities as the budget hotels in the area and is also close to the interstate. What makes this hotel stand out in the area is the restaurant, the Market Wine Bar Bistro, which is a favorite with locals. The Radisson is also the closest to Yuma's historical sites, including the prison.
