Municipal Golf Courses in Myrtle Beach
Public golf courses in Myrtle Beach provide visitors with an opportunity to swing a club while surrounded by palm trees in the warm South Carolina sunshine. The "Grand Strand" area of Myrtle Beach is located less than 15 minutes from public golf courses. This popular stretch of sand and surf is also home to amusement parks, dining and hotels with beachfront views of the Atlantic Ocean.

RIver Oaks Golf Plantation

River Oaks Golf Plantation features 27 holes situated on a former nature preservation area five minutes from downtown Myrtle Beach. The three nine-hole courses offer fairways lined with native South Carolina trees and Champion "Ultrawarf" greens. The Glen Davis Golf School is also located on site. Both Golf Magazine and Myrtle Beach Golf Magazine recognized this golf school for top-level golf instruction. The Bear Course Par 3 area features a water hazard followed by a long green next to a dense tree line. Fox Course Par 4 requires a strong swing with a big club to clear the large bunker. The Otter Course Par 4 features both water and bunker obstacles clustered around a narrow green area. The clubhouse offers food and drink, and golf cart rentals are available. Tee times can be booked online in advance.
