Curtain Club is a weekend nightclub just a few blocks east of downtown Dallas in an arts and entertainment district known as "Deep Ellum." Curtain Club features live local music, including many bands that have gone on to become famous. The club has a bar, a stage, and a large space to accommodate a crowd and provide room for dancing. There is a separate and more intimate lounge associated with the Curtain Club called Liquid Lounge. Liquid Lounge sometimes has live music and it also has a full bar, tables, booths, a pool table and video games. The club's website has a schedule of musical guests and drink specials, which are available on Friday and Saturday nights. The club usually opens at 8:30 p.m. on weekends, and some shows allow individuals over 17 years old.

The Lizard Lounge
The Lizard Lounge is a downtown nightclub that features dancing to electronic dance music. The club hosts a variety of different styles of electronic music and DJs from around the world; the club's website has a schedule of events. Friday and Saturdays are the best days to go dancing at the Lizard Lounge, and it is open from 9 p.m. to 4 a.m. on these nights. Liquor, however, is only served until 2 a.m. This club also has a rooftop deck. It also has drink specials until 11 p.m. and music starting at 9 p.m. on Thursday and Sunday nights.

Gilley's Dallas
Gilley's Dallas is a country nightclub, which is great for tourists wanting a southern experience. It has live country bands and a very large dance floor. According to the club's website, it offers free dance lessons from 6 to 8 p.m. on Saturdays and is open for music, drinks and dancing from 8 p.m. to 2 a.m. on Friday and Saturday. Gilley's allows guests over 18 years of age, but individuals must be 21 or older to order alcoholic drinks. This club is located just south of downtown Dallas, convenient for golf tourists staying in downtown hotels.
