Sunshine, mountains, city-length trails, the largest natural landscaped city park in America and 360 days with sunshine make Arizona a place for fitness inside and out. The 110-degree weather during the summer makes outside workouts uncomfortable, but in Phoenix fitness and workout businesses abound. In North Phoenix, several national franchises and locally-owned fitness centers offer a variety of choices.
Snap Fitness
Locally owned, Snap Fitness is a digital card facility. This means that members of the month-to-month gym are given key cards and can access the facility any time of day or night. The gym does have limited staffed hours and a personal trainer available by appointment. A small facility, the fact it's accessible at users' convenience ensures there are normally plenty of free weights and machines available. Membership also is good at other Snap Fitness franchise locations. The facility is open 24/7 with staff available weekdays from noon to 6 p.m.
