Tucson Municipal Golf Courses
Hugo O'Conor established the Tucson Presido in 1775, the official birth date of the City of Tucson. After becoming part of Mexico in 1821, the Gadsden Purchase in 1854 put Tucson under the jurisdiction of the United States. Tucson is located in the State of Arizona and is a thriving city with outdoor activities like golfing at one of the Tucson City Municipal Golf Courses.

Silverbell Golf Course

Dedicated as a city of Tucson recreational facility in 1979, Silverbell Golf Course is located along the west bank of the Santa Cruz River. This 18-hole layout has 6,300 yards of flat terrain and features nine lakes, grassy fairways and greens.

El Rio Golf Course

Dating back to the 1930s, El Rio Golf Course was the original site for the Tucson Open and used as a country club until the city of Tucson acquired it for public use in 1968. The course features two lakes, several trees, small greens, tight fairways and relatively flat terrain. El Rio measures 6,400 from the back trees and 6,000 yards from the regular trees.

Fred Enke Golf Course

Dedicated to the City of Tucson in 1983, Fred Enke Golf Course offers a different and more interesting challenge because of the golf course design. With vast teeing areas, strategic bunkers and sand traps, hilly terrain, large greens and limited turf, grass is only used on the ball landing area greens. This 18-hole layout offer golfers the option of four teeing areas measuring, 5,000, 5,800, 6,400 and 6,800 yards.

Randolph/Dell Urich Golf Course

The Randolph Golf Course was the longest course in the city of Tucson system, measuring 6,500 yards from the regular tees and 7,000 yards from the championship tees. But in spring of 1996, the former Randolph Golf Course opened as Dell Urich measuring 5,270 from the front tees and 6,633 yards from the back tees with dramatic elevation changes. As recommended by the PGA, the 18-hole reconstructed course is more challenging for professional golfers and features water hazards on five holes, sports three rearranged holes and long fairways. This course was the site of the PGA Joe Garagiola Tucson Open and is the current site for the PING/Welch's LPGA Championship.
