Restaurants on King Street in Toronto
The capital of Ontario, Toronto is a major center for Canadian business and commerce. Many of the financial companies in the city have their headquarters along King Street, a major, east-west road in the heart of the city. Because of the large companies located along the street, the area has also become home to numerous restaurants and cafes. For golfers returning to the city after a day at one of the area's many courses like Lambton Golf & Country Club or Don Valley Golf Course, King Street provides a variety of dining options for lunch or dinner.

Marcel's Bistro

Specializing in French cuisine, Marcel's Bistro is approximately 10 miles from the 18-hole municipal Scarlett Woods Golf Course. The menu starts with several appetizers, such as the traditional bruschetta or the pheasant terrine with onions and apricots. A specialty of the house, the steak-frites is available with an 8 or 12 oz. sirloin covered in bordelaise sauce. Seafood lovers may opt for the sea scallops, served atop saffron rice in French anise-flavored Pernod liqueur. For dessert, try Marcel's creme brulee of the day with a cafe au lait. The wine list features over 50 French wines as well as bottles from local Ontario wineries and the rest of the world. Marcel's is open for lunch Tuesday through Friday and for dinner Tuesday through Saturday. The bistro is closed Sundays and Mondays. Reservations are recommended.
